We are a very small country business consisting of Tylor Johnson and Erica Johnson Hollingshead. We have a long and enjoyable history of woodworking and hand crafting together. We always make our own products by hand, individually, we never send out for premade products or buy products for resale. Tylor turns each pen individually, careful to bring each pen to perfect shape and size. He does each step himself, from cutting and preparing the core to the final step, which is pressing the pen. He is an expert on the lathe and designs all his work by heart, no two are ever alike. He created the beautiful hand turned vase with the cattails (also hand turned) inside, a very popular item of ours. Erica specializes in carvings. She carves a variety of birds, animals and figurines. Her favorite is the delicate work of birds and duplicating them to an amazing beautiful likeness. She also enjoys and creates different wood burnings. Burning a picture to wood is a slow and delicate process but creates a fascinating beauty. Each stroke is done by hand, never by a computer or laser. Each product we make is a part of us. Our woodworking is an enjoyment that completes us and we love to share it with others.
